President Nelson expands our understanding of speaking about the “Atonement” in shortcut phrases by stating: “There is no amorphous entity called ‘the Atonement’ upon which we may call for succor, healing, forgiveness, or power…. The Savior’s atoning sacrifice—the central act of all human history—is best understood and appreciated when we expressly and clearly connect it to Him.”
Activity: In reviewing all that the Redeemer has done and continues to do for us—in Gethsemane, upon the cross, and through the resurrection—we should consider ways that we can remember Him and “pray always and not faint” (2 Nephi 32: 9).
